Our client is a global pharmaceutical company.  They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Director Global Indication Lead Skin Cancer

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Leads and implements global oncology marketing strategy and tactics to achieve optimal performance of market share and product performance.
  • Partners with Market Access and Medical Affairs teams the cross functional effort to optimize the global long term disease area strategy and the short-midterm strategy co-created with countries and regions.
  • Supports launch excellence in collaboration with global/regional/country marketing teams to continue the ongoing launch.
  • Builds relationships with global medical experts and leverages the insights collected to support launch plan and lifecycle management activities.
  • Identifies and showcases the oncology team global/region/country market penetration efforts through: sharing of key learnings, insights, experiences, and best practices.
  • Ensures global budgets and resources are effectively managed within agreed upon limits and plans are effectively implemented.
  • Provides guidance for the oncology forecast.
  • Responsible for the commercial interpretation and internal education of key market events within the oncology organization (e.g. senior management, IR, etc.).
  • Empowers country teams through global marketing direction and adoption of tools to exceed sales performance goals.
  • Provides measurements of profitability, sales vs. budget, market share and market share growth for defined compound(s).
  • Provides feedback from regions and countries on collaboration, level of service and quality of coordination/communication related to global/regional/country operating model.
  • Provides feedback from oncology and extended teams on collaboration, quality and timing of global deliverables and supports to help maximize the disease indications and indications globally.
  • Provides strategic leadership to successfully drive sales growth for approved indications as well as contributes to the development of strategy for future formulations and indications.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Must have a degree in marketing, medicine, natural or pharmaceutical sciences; an advanced degree in science and/or business is preferred (e.g., MD, Pharm. D., PhD., MBA).
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in healthcare operational marketing / product management or related field (including country-level product management); oncology experience is preferred.
  • Launch experience with new products or major line extensions – oncology is preferred; multi-country or large market is strongly preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with global oncology/hematology medical experts.
  • Must be comfortable switching between complex science and commercial concepts, with the ability to bridge between them and build a common understanding amongst colleagues with either background.
  • Requires the ability to collaborate, operate and influence cross-functionally and cross-culturally on a global team.
  • Must have strong analytical, strategic thinking and project management skills.
